Uniting Psychology with the Media & General Public

Psychologists and Researchers alike often carry out important investigations in the field of mental health to advance our understanding of mental illness, and improve ways of delivering treatment, therapy, assessments, technology, counselling, and many other services. Unfortunately, the results of this incredible work is often published in scientific peer-review journals, but never reaches the general public. With a Masters degree in Journalism and Mass Communication, Dr Alissa Knight is passionate about bridging the gap between psychologists, researchers and the media to help our community learn more about ways to prevent and decrease mental health problems, while increasing mental functioning, wellness, and resilience.
