It is essential to acknowledge that eating disorders are not a matter of choice; instead, they represent a serious mental health illness, that is often deeply ingrained and intertwined with other factors/comorbid disorders that caused the ED in the first place, and are maintaining it, such as: Childhood Trauma, Anxiety, Depression, Personality Disorders (BPD), ADHD, ASD, School issues (e.g., Bullying), Social Media Influence.

Their impact is Multidimensional, Encompassing multiple layers facets of an individual’s life, including physical, psychological, emotional, and social aspects.
